The Program is pleased to share that family caregiver rate increases are in effect May 26, 2026. The Program uses the most recently available caregiver rates from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics within the area where the participant lives.
Family caregivers do not need to take any additional action to receive the increase.
The Program will automatically apply the new rates and ensure that any necessary adjustments are made to retroactively apply the wage difference for hours worked between May 15-25, 2026, so that total pay is at the new rate.
The Program is reviewing and intends to develop a consistent practice for independent caregiver rate increases. We will provide an update in the near future.
