As we approach the December holiday season, we want to share our upcoming office schedule and how it may affect claims processing timelines. We appreciate your patience and will continue working diligently to process all requests as quickly as possible. Please note holiday schedule below:
Both Virginia Birth Injury Fund and MCI-rising will be closed Thursday, December 25 and Thursday, January 1. Please see below for operations that last two weeks of the calendar year:
The Virginia Birth Injury will be operating with reduced staff:
· Monday, December 22 – Wednesday, December 24
· Friday, December 26 – Wednesday, December 31
· Friday January 2
MCI-Rising will be operating with reduced staff:
· Wednesday, December 24
· Friday, December 26
· Friday, December 31
Any urgent MCI Rx pharmacy matters will be handled by on-call staff on December 25 and January 1, 2026 with normal operating hours resuming Friday, December 26 and January 2, 2026.
The VBIF and Rising teams will be continuously processing claims during this holiday season when business is open, even with reduced staffing. If you experience an urgent issue, please call us at 804-330-2471. For all other questions, you may email ad*****@***********ry.com. A VBIF team member will be monitoring these channels and triage accordingly.
