Participating Providers
Physicians and hospitals that participate in the Birth-Injury Program provide an additional level of assurance to their patients. In the unlikely event a qualifying birth-injury occurs, the best possible care will be available for their child.
In the spirit of Virginia’s deep democratic roots, participation by physicians and hospitals is voluntary. Currently, this includes more than 70 percent of delivering physicians . Together, participating physicians and hospitals provide Program coverage to more than 65 percent of all births statewide and nearly 85 percent of births in Northern Virginia.*
